Over the last few weeks I have been shooting a lot of pr related images on the Broads, ranging from festivals, to walks to scenic images.
Part of the brief last week was to shoot some late evening images of Oulton Broad centred around the power boat racing and the atmosphere this brings to the area.
Upon arriving, it was rather cold, cloudy and had a feeling of a storm on the horizon. The racing didn’t give me the feeling of being that atmospheric and because of the cloud everything was pretty dull and rather a nonentity, so, returning to the car I grabbed the Manfrotto and headed over to the marshes.
It was a bit of waiting game, but within an hour or so the storm clouds began to change and with the sun setting, it provided the perfect light for this shot. The ND filter certainly helped to balance exposure.
