From time to time I have the pleasure of shooting images for a national medical magazine.
Naturally, anything that requires a photographer going into hospitals or NHS practices requires a lot of form filling, lots of careful photography towards the patients, lots of smiles and finally good explanations of what exactly I am doing.
Put these principles into practice and thankfully, most people agree to be photographed.
My last medical based shoot was down the A12 just before London, which provided me with a nice change of scenery.
Over two whole days of shooting I managed to meet the brief and tick off all the required subject matter. It meant lots of imaginative views, lighting and thought for the images to reflect the often sensitive nature of the shoot and to bring life to a somewhat ‘normal’ scene.
